Overall, Jak and Daxter is a great game, and anyone who ownes a PS2 or PS3 should definatly try it (maybe not on the PSVita though). The game doesn't really do much to let the player know how close they are to completing the game until you kinda of just stumble into the antagonist's lair and stop them, but considering that earlier games didn't do much to tell a story this is still a big step foward. Another problem I had was the story telling. Their are few minor issues I had with the game such as finicky controls and a few bad camera angles, but like I said those were minor. The characters are great and they help you get immersed in their great fantasy adventure. I played Jak and Daxter back in the day, but I got bored after a few hours.

Normally I don't like open-world games because they generally make the player roam around with very little to do, but since this is a platformer, the whole world feels like a fun playground. This remaster thing is really out of control. Naughty Dog classics Jak and Daxter, Jak II, Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing get an HD upgrade later this year. I love that it's an open-world type of game that focuses on collecting.

If you love games like banjo kazzoie or mario 64 and have not played this game. the main colectabels include preceursor orbs which can be used to get the main object of the game the power cell which makes jak and daxter do the best thing ever whichmakes me smile every time. The gameplay itself is simple but fun you play as jak a silent protagonist who has a ability to use different eco power ups red makes you stronger and better attack power blue makes you faster and yellow allows you to fire progectiles.You also have your spin attack and punch attack and jumping of course.Daxter just sits on your shoulder through the entire adventure just to make comments on the area with his annoying vocie. The games core is that its a colectothon adventure action 3d platfomer much like mario 64 or banjo kazzoie.The open world tropical island still looks gorgous and the best part NO LOADING SCREENS YES YES YES MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME:) If I had a poblem that isn't that big that the story is very simple its just stop the bad guys from taking over the world and the characters mostly daxter can get annoying and the dialog in any of the games to me isn't very funny compered to banjo kazzoie.
